[Undated, perhaps 1956.] CIBOLA San Cristobal New Mexico Equipment List We supply all bedding; blankets, sheets, pillow cases and towels. However, on the caravan one towel should be brought that may not return. We request that clothing be kept simple and to a minimum. Each child should have the following items: I. Sleeping bag 2. Poncho 3. Warm jacket 4. 2 wool or flannel shirts (washable) 5. Sweater or sweat shirt 6. 4 pairs of blue jeans or levis 7. 2 pairs of shorts 8. 5 lightweight, practical T-shirts or blouses (preferably that do not require ironing). Blue chambray work shirts are favorites of both boys and girls. 9. Ample supply of underwear 10. Ample supply of socks II. 2 or 3 pairs of flannel pajamas 12. 1 pair of heavy shoes or boots 13. 1 pair of light shoes or sneakers. Girls should also bring 1 pair of "flats" to wear with dresses . 14. Girls -3 simple skirts and blouses or cotton dresses 15. Boys -3 dress-up shirts for Fiesta days and dances 16. 1 or 2 bathing suits 17. Hat -traditional cowboy hats for protection from the sun will be bought at the ranch. Unless special arrangements are made by the family, through us, there is no need to spend more than $5. 18. Flashlight and canteen required. We are not in favor of the purchase of hunting knives, hatchets and similar equipment. We will supply whatever is needed. 19. Waterproof duffle bag. All clothing should be marked and carried in a marked duffle bag - no suitcases. Clothes packed in duffle bag will not be available until we reach camp. 20. Small canvas bag for overnight things, to be used on Caravan trip, and small, waterproof toilet article kit. When you receive the Caravan itinerary you will also receive a list of suggested items to be packed in canvas bag for the trip.
